Krzysztof Polonek will be promoted to the concert master of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Polonaek is from Krakow, Poland. After studying at Berlin University of the Arts, He studied under Thomas Brandis at Lübeck University of Music. After that, he was active as a member of the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra, the Frankfurt Opera Orchestra, the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra and others. He also served as a concert master of the following orchestras. Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Deutsche Oper Berlin Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 2009 he joined the Berliner Philharmoniker. He is also active as a member of the Berlin Piano Trio.
