PARIS 〓 Opéra national de Paris announced the 2020/0221 season

The Opéra national de Paris, which has been hit by a staff strike since the end of last year, announced the 2020/0221 season performance lineup.

New productions for the new season include Gounod’s “Faust”, Janáček’s “Jenůfa”, and Tchaikovsky’s “The Queen of Spades”.

In addition, two works in the second half of Wagner’s “Ring Cycle” directed by Calixto Bieito will be also newly produced.

“Siegfried” will be staged in October, and “Twilight of the Gods” will be staged in November.

In addition, “Ring Cycle” will be staged throughout. The first time is from November 23 to 28. The second time is from November 30 to December 6.
