On August 6, 2018 Marlboro Music Festival announced that Jonathan Biss (37) would assume the role of co-artistic director. Musical festival art director has served as pianist Mitsuko Uchida since 1999, Uchida will remain Cooperate as an artistic director. Biss was born in 1980, Bloomington, USA. Parents are violinists, he began learning the piano at the age of six, then studied at Curtis College of Music in Philadelphia and studied at Leon Fleischer.
