Bartoli is a 59-year-old native of Rome. She gained attention early on as a Rossini singer and continues to be active as a leading mezzo-soprano with her clear, noble voice. In addition to Mozart, she has recently been devoting herself to discovering and reviving Vivaldi’s operas.
