DALLAS 〓 Dallas Symphony Orchestra Announced Wagner’s “Ring Cycle” in 2024

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will take on an ambitious challenge with Music Director Fabio Luisi beginning with the 2020/2021 season. Orchestra announced that it will present a concert production of Wagner’s “Ring Cycle” beginning with the 2023/2024 season.

According to the announcement, “Das Rheingold” and “Valkyrie” will be performed in May 2024, and “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung” in October, with a full performance during the week beginning October 13. This will be the first time in the U.S. that a U.S. orchestra will perform all the pieces in one week.

Luisi has conducted each of these works at the Metropolitan Opera, Zurich Opera, and Saxon State Opera, and the performances will feature Mark Delavan as Wotan, Lise Lindstrom as Brunnhilde, Sarah Jakubiak as Sieglinde, and Christopher Ventris as Siegfried will be featured.
