LOS ANGELES 〓 Hildur Guðnadóttir won the “Best Original Score” at the 77th Golden Globe Awards

Hildur Guðnadóttir, Icelandic cellist and composer, won the “Best Original Score” at the 77th Golden Globe Awards for the music of the movie “Joker” on January 5. It is the second woman to receive a music award after Lisa Gerrard, who won the music for the movie “Gladiator” in 2001. “Joker” was nominated in four categories, and the main character, Joaquin Phoenix, won the “Best Performance by an Actor”.

Guðnadóttir is a 37-year-old born in Reykjavik, the capital. After studying at the Reykjavik Academy of Music and the Icelandic Academy of Arts, she studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. As a disciple of Jóhann Jóhannsson, a senior composer in Iceland, she also participated in music for films he produced, such as “Prisoners”, “Sicario”, and “Arrival”. Last year, she won an Emmy Award for music in the TV drama “Chernobyl”.
