VIENNA 〓 Muti will be the conductor of the 2021 “New Year’s Concert”

The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra has announced that Riccardo Muti will be the conductor of the “New Year’s Concert” in 2021. Muti has appeared five times in the past (1993, 1997, 2000, 2004, 2018). The relationship between Muti and the Vienna Philharmonic is deep, and since his debut in 1971, he has conducted more than 500 concerts and opera performances. Muti was awarded the honorary membership title in 2011.
