The National Opera of Paris announced a performance lineup for 2019/2020 season. The biggest topic is to make a new cycle of Wagner’s “The Ring of the Nibelung” appear. Calixto Bieito is working on a new production. Jonas Kaufmann and other luxurious singers were appointed.

At the stage of the performance, “The Rhinegold” performed April 2 – 15th. “The Valkyrie” is from May 5th to 27th, “Siegfried” is from October 10th to 18th, “Twilight of the gods” is November 13th to 21st. The conductor is Philippe Jordan. Continuous performance of 4 works will be made twice, from November 23 to 28, December 30 to January 6.

The singers who appear in the cycle are as follows. Iain Paterson, Ekaterina Gubanova, Anna Gabler, Jonas Kaufmann, Eva-Maria Westbroek, Martina Serafin, John Relyea, Julie Fuchs, Andreas Schager, Ricarda Merbeth, Sarah Connolly, Johannes Martin Kränzle.

In the 2019/2020 season we will present 19 pieces. The new production is as follows.
