Around the Music Festival

On October 1st, at the Metropolitan Opera “Samson et Dalila” performance, Roberto Alagna singing Samson went down to the third act. The substitute was Kristian Benedikt who was casting to 3rd Samson in this performance. Benedict is a tenor born in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. He appeared in the performance on May 28th and was scheduled to debut at the Metropolitan Opera.

This time “Samson et Dalila” is the opening performance of 2018/2019 season, the first day is September 24. Broadway ‘s popular director, Darko Tresnjak creating a new Production, attracted attention as the collaboration between Elīna Garanča and Alagna revived. They co – starred in 2009 ‘Carmen’ and are taking reputation.

However, Alagna is not in the best condition, and critics’ criticism is not the best. He is supposed to sing at the performances of 5th, 9th, 13th, 16th and 20th after this, and the final day 20th performance will be streamed on the “HD series”.
