Japan’s “Aoi Trio” won the piano trio division of the Munich International Music Competition (Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD) on 15th. “Aoi trio” is piano Akimoto Kosuke, violin Ogawa Kyoko, cello Ito yu. It is the first time Japanese wins this division. The competition was organized by the German Public Broadcasting Federation (ARD), 67 times this time. It is known as the most prestigious contest among international competitions. The 1st prize of the Viola category was Diyang Mei of China. Japan’s Konoe Takehiro won the 3rd prize. Konoe is 20 years old living in the Netherlands. His grandfather is a conductor Hidemaro who has worked hard to develop the Japanese orchestra.
