Finland’s young conductor Tarmo Peltokoski has signed a contract with the “Deutsche Grammophon” label. His debut album is a collection of Mozart symphonies with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie in Bremen, where he serves as principal guest conductor, and will be released in March 2024.

Pertkoski is 23 years old and was born in Helsinki. Half Filipino and half Finnish, he studied at the Sibelius Academy of Music with Jorma Panula from the age of 14. He made his conducting debut in 2020 with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

He is one of the most remarkable young conductors of Finland’s, and at such a young age has already served as principal guest conductor of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestras, as well as music director and artistic director of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra ibeginning in the 2023/2024 season.

He will also assume the position of Music Director of the Orchestre National Capitole Toulouse n France from 2024/2025 season.
