TEL AVIV 〓 Israel Philharmonic Extends Contract with Chief Conductor Lahav Shani

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has extended the contract of its chief conductor, Lahav Shani. Shani has been in his position since 2020, and this contract renewal extends his term of office to 2029.

Shani, 35, was born in Tel Aviv and has been Chief Conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra in the Netherlands since 2018 and will become Chief Conductor of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra beginning in the 2026/2027 season.
