MUNICH 〓 Bavarian State Opera to Stream ‘Die Fledermaus’ on Dec. 31

The Bavarian State Opera has announced that its new production of Johann Strauss II “Die Fledermaus,” opening on December 23, will be streamed live via the theater’s streaming channel, STAATSOPER.TV. The performance will be broadcast on New Year’s Eve 31st, starting at 10:40 p.m. local time.

The new production of “Die Fledermaus” is newly directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by General Music Director Vladimir Jurowski. The cast features Diana Damrau as Rosalinde, Georg Nigl as Eisenstein, Martin Winkler as Frank, Markus Brück as Dr. Falke, and Katharina Conradi as Adele.
