PARIS 〓 Klaus Mäkelä & Orchestre de Paris will release first album

2023/02/26

Klaus Mäkelä and the Orchestre de Paris, of which he is the music director, have decided to release their first recordings. The first album will include Stravinsky’s ballets “The Rite of Spring 1947” and “The Firebird 1910,” and will be released on March 24.

The recording was made at the orchestra’s home base, the Philharmonie de Paris, last October, shortly after Klaus Makela was appointed music director. The second recording is scheduled for release in 2024 and will include Stravinsky’s “Petrushka” and Debussy’s “Jeux” and “Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune”.
