CHICAGO 〓 Lyric Opera of Chicago cancels its entire 2020/2021 season due to the coronavirus pandemic

After having previously announced the suspension of all its activities until January 2021, the Lyric Opera of Chicago announced the definitive cancellation of its entire 2020/2021 season, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the US classical music world, the Metropolitan Opera, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic Orchestra have already announced cancellations for the 2020/2021 season. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has also canceled the performance until the end of March.
