BOSTON 〓 Andris Nelsons extends contract with Boston Symphony and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig

Conductor Andris Nelsons has extended his contract with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The term will be extended by three years until the summer of 2025. Nelsons has been a music director since the 2014/2015 season.

At the same time, Nelsons also extended his contract with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, who has been the principal conductor since 2017. The term will be extended to another five years, 2027.
