PARMA 〓 Teatro Regio di Parma announced the outline of the 2020 festival

Teatro Regio di Parma, who has been running this year’s “Verdi Festival” since the 24th, announced the outline of the 2020 festival next year. According to it, 2020 will begin on September 24 and will close on October 18. The opening performance is “I Lombardi alla prima crociata”.

During the period, in Parma, in addition to Teatro Reggio, the French version of “Macbeth” will be staged in San Francesco del Prato, where reconstruction work will be completed in 2020. Also, “Rigoletto” will be performed at Verdi Theater in Busseto.

The festival is organized by Teatro Reggio. Verdi was born in Roncole village about 6 km from Busseto near Parma. Founded in 1913, the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth. During this period, Verdi’s works will be intensively performed.
