Zubin Mehta, who returned to the scene from cancer treatment last fall, canceled the Opera Ball of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performed on the 24th. Daniel Harding serves as a substitute.

Mehta will retire the music director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra who has served for a long time in 2019.

In February the last US tour before the retirement was scheduled, but he also cancels this. Lahav Shani, who will be appointed music director in 2020, will serve as a substitute for the tour.
