HANOVER 〓 NDR Radiophilharmonie will also be a female concert master

UK-born violinist Catherine Myerscough is to become the concertmaster of Hannover-based NDR Radiophilharmonie. Adoption after 8 months trial period.

Myerscough was born in London and studied at Cambridge University, Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After that, studied at Lübeck University of Music. She studied under Heime Müller who was the 1st violin of the Artemis String Quartet.

From 2013 to 2015 she also studied at the Mendelssohn Orchestra Academy of Leipzig. The Academy was founded in 2004 by the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester and University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig.
