DONAUESCHINGEN 〓 Donaueschingen Music Festival, 22 works were premiered

The Donaueschingen Music Festival (Donaueschinger Musiktage) that had been held since 18th was closed on the 21st.

Donaueschingen is a town located in the “Black Forest = Schwarzwald” area in the southwestern part of Germany, Baden-Württemberg. Founded in 1921, the music festival is known as the world music festival of contemporary music.

Currently organized by South West German broadcasting (SWR, Südwestrundfunk). In this year’s music festival, 22 works were premiered, and about 250 musicians (13 ensembles, 5 sound artists, 6 conductor, 23 composers) participated.

Next year will be held from October 17th to 20th. Next year it is supposed to cover orchestral works, Michael Pelzel, Gérard Pesson and Simon Steen-Andersen orchestra works are played.
