Ufa 〓 Spain’s María Dueñas victory at International Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov

The second round of the International Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov was held on 20th and Spain’s María Dueñas (15) won the race. Russian Fyodor Beznosikov (25) was the second place and Kurihara Issei (22) of Japan was third. Dueñas was born in Granada and studied under Boris Kushnir at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In the final selection she played Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Dueñas was awarded Italian modern instruments, 1912 Riccardo Antoniazzi.

Spivakov is a Russian violinist and conductor. The founder of his competition was founded in 2016. It is held in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is 15-26 years old who can participate and held once every two years. Spivakov has served as the artistic director, the judges include Takashi Shimizu and Boris Kushnir, the chairperson is Mikhail Kopelman. The awards ceremony and Gala Concert will be streamed from 5 pm local time on the 21st.
