Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the first Russia tour. Moscow International House of Music on 29th and Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg on 31st. The conductor is Long Yu representing China, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and etc. are played.

Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra founded in Beijing by CCTV (China Central Television) in 2000. CCTV integrated the two broadcast orchestras they had until then and gathered Chinese performers active in the world front line there.

British monthly magazine “Gramophone” ranked among the top ten of “the most moving orchestra in the world” in 2009.
