LONDON 〓 Royal Opera House has announced its performance lineup for the 2024/2025 season

The Royal Opera House has announced its performance lineup for the 2024/2025 season. The lineup is as follows: seven new productions, including the world premiere of a new work by Mark-Anthony Turnage.

At the Royal Opera House, music director Antonio Pappano will retire at the end of the 2023/2024 season after 23 years in the position, and Jakub Hrůša will assume the position of music director beginning with the 2025/2026 season.

The company also announced that it will change its name, which has been used since 1892, to “Royal Ballet and Opera” beginning with the new season. This is the first time in 132 years that the name has been changed.
