Arena di Verona has announced a lineup of performances in 2022 next year. The festival, which will enter the 99th season in 2022, will perform five Operas.

The lineup includes productions by the Franco Zeffirelli, a famous director who has produced many famous performances at the festival.

The opening is a revival performance of the production of Bizet’s “Carmen” in 1997, which was the festival debut of Zeffirelli.

In addition, the production of Verdi’s “La Traviata”, which he last worked on at the festival, and Puccini’s “Turandot”, in which Emi Wada was appointed as the costume, will be performed.

On the other hand, in the gala performance, in addition to the ballet “Roberto Bolle & Friends”, Orff “Carmina Burana” dedicated to the late Ezio Bosso who was active as a pianist, composer and conductor will be performed.

There will also be a concert by Placido Domingo.
