The Baden-Baden Festival where the opening of the Easter Festival in 2018 approaches is announced on the 15th, the program of the 2018/19 season. When the season starts in September, the first appearing orchestra is Herbert Blomstedt and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The next orchestra will appear in October, Yuri Temirkanov and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (piano: Yefim Bronfman). In November, Thomas Hengelbrock has Mozart’s requiem Conducting Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble.

“Autumn festival” from the end of November. The appearance in the opening concert is the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra (Violin: Janine Jansen) Conducted by Daniel Harding. Subsequently, Marc Minkowski and Les Musiciens du Louvre also appear. In December Valery Gergiev will join Mariinsky theater Orchestra as well as a ballet team and will perform ballet performances using Prokofiev’s music.

In early April, the opening of the Easter Festival. The 2018 Easter Music Festival will perform Wagner ‘s “Parsifal”, but in 2019 Verdi’ s “Otello” will be performed. Directed by Robert Wilson. The conductor is not Kirill Petrenko, but Daniele Gatti. Otello is Stuart Skelton, Sonya Yoncheva in Desdemona, Luca Salsi in Iago. Petrenko directed Berliner Philharmoniker’s concert with Lang Lang of the piano, Patricia Kopatchinskaja of the violin. In addition, Verdi’s Requiem, which Riccardo Muti conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, gathers a hot topic. Here are singers, Vittoria Yeo, Elīna Garanča, Francesco Meli, Ildar Abdrazakov.

As the Easter music festival ends, in May, famous singers appear in succession. Christian Gerhaher, Waltraud Meier, Diana Damrau, Ute Lemper, and so on. In June, “Pentecost Festival” started, Thomas Hampson, Fazıl Say, Hélène Grimaud, Sol Gabetta Trio, Riccardo Chailly and Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala and others appeared. Also there is Bach’s H-Moll-Messe by Philippe Herreweghe and Collegium Vocale Gent. Lastly, Anna Netrebko’s recital on July 14th. This concludes the 2018/19 season.
