The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, France’s leading summer music festival, has announced its schedule for summer 2023. The festival will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2023 and will run from July 4-24.

In 2023, there will be six stage productions, including operas, plus three operas in concert style.

In addition to the world premiere of the opera “Picture a Day Like This” conducted by George Benjamin himself, the European premiere of Philip Venables’ opera “The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions” will be staged. The lineup of operas and other performances is as follows
