The New National Theater Tokyo has announced the launch of a new platform for streaming distribution. It can be used free of charge at the “Digital Theater”. Distribution of Bizet’s “Carmen” has already begun.

“Carmen”, which was staged in July 2021 as a new production for the 2020/2021 season, has begun to be distributed. Stéphanie d’Oustrac is appointed as Carmen, and Àlex Ollé is in charge of the production. Conducted by artistic director Kazushi Ono.
