NEW YORK 〓 Carnegie Hall cancels the rest of the 2020/2021 season

2021/02/20

Carnegie Hall in New York has announced that it will cancel the rest of the 2020/2021 season. Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the hall has been closed since March 13, 2020.

For this reason, the planned music festival “Voices of Hope” has been changed to be held online and will be held from April 16th to 30th. The lineup will be announced in late March.

The number of infected people in the United States peaked in mid-January, which was 250,000 a day, and began to decline, and as of February 17, it has remained at around 78,000.

In New York, the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera and the New York Philharmonic have already canceled the entire season. However, the situation has improved, with in-store eating and drinking being permitted within a capacity of 25% from the 14th.
