The Lucerne Festival announced the summary of the summer festival in 2019. According to it, the period is August 16 to September 15. More than 100 concerts will be held during the period. The Lucerne Festival concludes the European summer music festival in order to open the late August. A program focusing on orchestra concerts has been organized since long ago.

Also in 2019, the orchestra that guests perform is quite diverse. Using that advantage, Tchaikovsky’s late three symphonies concerts by three orchestras are organized. Orchestra of music festival where music director Riccardo Chailly will play No.4. Berliner Philharmoniker led by Kirill Petrenko will play No.5. Mariinsky Theater Orchestra led by Valery Gergiev will play No.6. Another topic is to challenge the performance of Mozart’s Da Ponte trilogy by orchestra and choir of “musicAeterna” led by Teodor Currentzis. Cecilia Bartoli also will join 《Così fan tutte》.

Besides that, there are Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, London Symphony Orchestra(led by Simon Rattle), Gewandhaus Orchester(led by Andris Nelsons), Israel Philharmonic Orchestra(led by Zubin Mehta), West-Eastern Divan Orchestra(led by Daniel Barenboim), Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra(led by Lahav Shani) appear in succession. The soloists who collaborate with those orchestras are also luxurious.
