BEIJING 〓 Deutsche Grammophon 120 year memorial concert was held at Forbidden City

At the Forbidden City in Beijing on October 10, Deutsche Grammophon 120 year memorial concert was held with attendance of 1,200 people. The concert using Forbidden City, since the performance of The Three Tenors in 2001. This year, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra led by Mr.Long Yu contracted with Deutsche Grammophon served as a host orchestra.

The program is “Enchanted Night” composed by Tianhua Liu in 1928, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2, Orff “Carmina Burana”. Rachmaninoff’s piano is Danil Triffonov. Meanwhile, the soloists of “Carmina Burana” are Aida Garifullina, Toby Spence, Ludovic Tezier, the chorus is Wiener Singakademie, Shanghai Spring Children’s Choir.
