LONDON 〓 BBC Proms, a summer tradition, has come to a close, and it was the most successful year yet.

The BBC has announced that the BBC Proms, the summer music festival that ended on September 14, was the most successful ever. More than two-thirds of the performances at the Royal Albert Hall were sold out, and the average ticket sales rate was 96%, exceeding last year’s 93%.

According to the announcement, there were over 300,000 visitors, and one third of them were first-time visitors. In addition, 14,000 people enjoyed the public viewings set up in various locations in the UK.

Meanwhile, over 10.6 million people enjoyed the event on TV. The peak audience for the closing concert “Last Night” on BBC One was 3.3 million. In addition, the number of times various content distributed through BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds was streamed reached 4.6 million.
