The Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra will release a complete Sibelius symphonis with Sachio Fujioka, the principal conductor. The release date is September 7th.

It will be released live recording at The Symphony Hall in Osaka from 2012 to 2020. In addition to the complete symphonies, the 4-disc set also includes a violin concerto with concertmaster Sukeyuki Iwatani as a soloist.

The Osaka-based Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra celebrated its 50th anniversary last year in 2020. The complete works are also a memorial.

Fujioka became the regular conductor in 2000 and the chief conductor in 2007. He has been leading the orchestra’s activities by standing on the podium for more than 40 performances each year.
