VIENNA 〓 The New Year’s Concert in 2024 will be conducted by Christian Thielemann

The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra announced on January 1 that Christian Thielemann will conduct the New Year’s Concert next year in 2024. This is the second time Thielemann will conduct the concert, following 2019.

Thielemann has been recording the complete symphonies with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for Bruckner’s bicentennial in 2024, after recording the Eighth live in 2019.
