TOKYO 〓 New National Theater Tokyo has shut down

The New National Theater Tokyo has shut down from Feb. 28 until March 15, 2020. All performances and events will cancel.

The company announced that in response to a request issued by Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology regarding the prevention of the spreading of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.

The performances that will be affected include the NNTT Opera Studio “The Marriage of Figaro,” Ballet “Manon,” and NNTT Ballet School Graduation Performance 2020.

For ticketholders, the company will refund all purchased tickets.
