Salzburg Festival 〓 Russian “Gazprom” entered the sponsor

2019/10/07

The Salzburg Festival signed a new sponsorship agreement with Russian Gazprom on the 3rd. Major sponsors of the festival include “Nestle”, “Audi”, “Siemens”, “Rolex” and “Kune Foundation”. “Gazprom” replaces “Nestlé”.

Gazprom is a semi-national natural gas company born in 1993. A monopoly company closely related to Putin, the world’s largest producer and supplier of natural gas.

Festival president Helga Rabl-Stadler said: ‘The connection between Austria and Russia has always been particularly intense about art and culture. If our festival has the reputation of being the best in the world, it owes much of that to Russian artists.’
