HANNOVER 〓 Andrew Manze renews the contract with NDR Radiophilharmonie

British conductor Andrew Manze has renewed its contract with NDR Radiophilharmonie. Manze has served as the principal conductor since 2014/15 season. The term of office extends until 2023.

Manze was born in Beckham, London in 1965. He studied at the Royal College of Music, the University of Cambridge and played an important role as a violinist in Ancient Music. After that, he extended the place of activity as a conductor.

From 2003 to 2007 he served as artistic director of the Ancient music ensemble “English Concert” founded by Trevor Pinnock. From 2018/19 season, he is also concurrently Principal guest conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
