BAYREUTH 〓 Netrebko will sing Elsa next summer

Anna Netrebko will debut at Bayreuth Festival next year in 2019. What Catalina Wagner revealed. Netrebko was rumored to appear in Elsa at the “Lohengrin” of this year’s festival, but it will be one year behind rumors.

This year’s “Lohengrin” is conducted by Christian Thielemann. Scheduled Roberto Alagna canceled the appearance just before the performance and Piotr Beczala appeared in its substitution.

Netrebko sang Elsa for the first time in at the Saxony State Opera in Dresden, and is playing with Thielemann, Becher. Next year Netrebko will debut not only at the Bayreuth Festival but also at Arena di Verona with Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” Léonore.
