2021/01/30

The Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Music Competition in Paris has been canceled due to the lack of an end to the infection with the new coronavirus. The cancellation has been for the second consecutive year following last year.

The competition is held in November every year, with three divisions of piano, vocal music, and violin alternating, and this year the violin division was scheduled to be held.

The competition was founded in 1943 by violinist Jacques Thibaud and pianist Marguerite Long. From 2011, the vocal music division was newly established, and the name of Régine Crespin was added to the current name.
