Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra extended the contract with music director Kazushi Ono. The extension is two years and the term of office is extended to 2022. Ono has orchestrated from the 2015/2016 season. The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1944, including the performances of the Liceu Theater etc, including a wide variety of activities for concerts and operas, and the de facto top orchestra of Catalonia.
