Wanda Wilkomirska, a female violinist from Poland, died on the 1st at the age of 89. She collaborated with prominent conductor and orchestra in numerous ways, and was one of the violinists representing Europe after the war.

She has worked numerous premiere of works by contemporary Polish composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, and Her achievement spreading the music of the same generation widely to the world is great.
In 1982, after a performance tour in Western Europe, She refused to return to Poland, exiled to the West Germany and took office as Dean of Heidelberg Mannheim Music School in 1983.


Since then, She has worked as an educator, has been teaching at Sydney Music Institute since 1999, Australian National Music Academy in Melbourne since 2001, She continues teaching in master classes around the world, and is a Jury of competition She also served.
