GÖTTINGEN 〓 International Handel Festival will be canceled this year

The Göttingen International Handel Festival in Germany has announced that it will be canceled. Due to the rapid spread of new coronavirus infections in Europe.

The Festival is the Pioneer of the composer Handel-themed festival. This year is the 100th anniversary of the music festival.

This year’s festival runs from May 20 to June 1, with around 120 events planned in Göttingen and surrounding areas in central Germany, much more than usual.

Last year, 75 events took place over 12 days, attracting an audience of about 14,000.
