ROME 〓 Pappano extends contract with Santa Cecilia

Antonio Pappano has extended his contract with the Santa Cecilia National Academy Orchestra(L’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia) in Rome. He has been a music director since 2005, and his term will extend to the 2023/2024 season.

Pappano was born in 1959 in Epping, Essex, England. His parents are Italian. He has been music director of the Royal Opera House since 2002 and has a term of up to 2022/2023 season.
