Bonn Beethoven festival 〓 Festival 2018 is over, next year’s theme is “moonlight”

“Beethovenfest Bonn”, which had been held from August 31st in Beethoven’s birthplace Bonn, ended on 23rd September. The opening of the festival was decorated with Orchester philharmonique de Radio France led by Mikko Franck, and the closing concert was played by the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra led by Michael Boder. A concert by Bon Beethoven Orchestra was held on the 1st, where Nike Wagner, a daughter of Wieland Wagner who will serve as president of the music festival from 2014, made a speech.

The theme of this year’s music festival is “destiny.” In addition to performances by artists such as Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Schiff András and Renaud Capuçon, there are also a variety of guest orchestras. Stefan Asbury & MDR Symphony Orchestra, Mikhail Pletnev & Russia National Orchestra, Adam Fischer & Age of Enlightment Orchestra, etc. Seventy percents of tickets were sold, 57 sold out sold out being one-third of all performances. Next year’s festival is from September 6 to 29. The theme is “moonlight”.
