VIENNA 〓 Austrian theater closure extended by the end of March

2021/02/17

The Vienna State Opera has announced that it will be closed until further notice due to the Austrian government’s regulation of the new coronavirus. The Graz Opera has also announced that it will be closed until at least March 31, 2021.

Austria initially aimed to lift the closure of cultural facilities at the end of February, but infection with a new variant of the new coronavirus has spread, especially in the Tyrolean region. The Kurtz government has been forced to revise its plans.
