The Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition announced on April 20th that the third event will be postponed to next year.
The third competition was scheduled to take place from August 4th to 25th.
The competition was founded in 2016 by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. It is held once every two years.
Mayu Kijima won the first prize in 2016, and Nancy Zhou won the first prize in 2018.
2020 is the 100th anniversary of Stern’s birth, gala concerts and other events was scheduled.
