Topical work decorating the opening of the 2018/2019 season. Anyway, the biggest topic is to entrust new direction to Darko Tresnjak, one of the hottest directors now active in Broadway. Another thing was that the collaboration between Elīna Garanča and Roberto Alagna was realized. They co – starred in 2009 ‘Carmen’ and have had great success. Tresnjak was a Serbian-born director who won the Tony Award in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” in 2014, and the Obie award in “The Killer” in 2015. This time there is a dynamic set in which a huge statue of a muscular male is settled at the center of the stage, and the stage is bright, vivid color, glossy color overlap on the stage. The story of a dramatic, rich man and a woman burns hot in the space where Oriental taste drifts.
