VIENNA 〓 The State Opera will live stream “The Marriage of Figaro”, using the previous production of Jean-Pierre Ponnell.

The Vienna State Opera has announced that it will live stream Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. Live streaming of performances without an audience, with a delivery date of February 1st. It is not the current version that will be performed, but a famous production directed by Jean-Pierre Ponnell.

The live performance will be conducted by Philippe Jordan, who has been appointed music director since the 2020/2021 season. Andrè Schuen as Count Almaviva, Philippe Sly as Figaro, Federica Lombardi as Countess Almaviva, Louise Alder as Susanna, and Virginie Verrez as Cherubino.
