SYDNEY 〓 Sydney Opera House will reopen with Lehar’s “Merry Widow”

The Sydney Opera House has announced that it will reopen with Lehar’s “Merry Widow” on January 5th. The opera house was closed for about 10 months due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

According to the announcement, the performance will be restricted to 1,125 people, which is 75% of the capacity, in accordance with the government’s new coronavirus regulations. Visitors are seated like a checkerboard. Visitors are also required to wear masks.

The performance is Opera Australia’s performance until the 16th. Starring Julie Lee Goodwin, Alexander Lewis and others. Opera Australia plans to perform “Ernani”, “Tosca” and “Bluebeard’s Castle” from February.
