Located at the western end of Austria, Bregenz is a city bordering Switzerland and Germany, across Lake Boden（Bodensee）. It is about 2.5 hours by train from Munich and about 1.5 hours from Zurich.
Every year in Bregenz, opera is performed at the special stage set on Lake Constance. On the lake side, amusement facilities such as 6,000 seats and restaurants are spread around the stage.
The festival is a month from late July to late August. The performances to be performed change every two years, and performances are almost every day. The opening is after 9 PM.
The beginning of the music festival was to float the opera there, in 1946, floating two gravel carriers on the lake. It has now grown into a big event to gather 200,000 people from all over the world. A huge set assembled on the lake overwhelms the viewers.
The Vienna Symphony Orchestra enters the pit, and directors who run the leading edge of the age are appointed, so every performance is high level.
In the event of rain, it switches to a performance in a theater. That’s nice with it, but it’s complicated with it as it is coming so far.
